We are looking for an Orthotic Fitter at our Albuquerque, NM location. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of a Certified Fitter, evaluate, assess, measure, educate patients, fulfill orders, fit off-the-shelf compression therapy garments, post-mastectomy breast forms and bras, orthotic soft goods and diabetic footwear.
  • Clinical and/or administration assistance for other Practitioners for all service and product lines.
  • Complete timely and accurate charting of required patient health record documents.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follows Active Life HIPAA policies.
  • Participate in required continuing education opportunities deemed necessary.
  • Travel to/from offsite locations, such as hospitals, clinics, Skilled Nursing Facilities and patient residences within a reasonable distance, to provide patient care or visit/educate referral sources using a personal vehicle and maintaining a valid Driver’s License and Insurance.
  • Follow company pricing, coding, authorization and billing standards and ability to properly calculate and determine patient costs, including the collection of funds from patients for provision of services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).
  • Experience with an Orthotics/Prosthetics Facility a plus.
  • Computer and typing proficiency of 35 wpm.
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dependable detail oriented, adaptable/flexible.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
