We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our Total Rewards Team in Austin Texas (hybrid work schedule)!
The HR Generalist, Total Rewards, is responsible for managing compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitive and equitable practices within the organization. Reporting to the Total Rewards Manager, this role provides expertise in compensation analysis, benefits & leave administration, and compliance. The Generalist also supports employee relation leave matters and HR operations, ensuring a positive employee experience through efficient administration of total rewards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer compensation programs, including salary structure management, job evaluations, and market analysis to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
- Oversee employee benefits programs, managing open enrollment, coordinating with benefits providers, and assisting employees with benefits inquiries
- Conduct regular compensation benchmarking to ensure alignment with market standards and recommend salary adjustments as necessary
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation, benefits, and employment law
- Support payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in compensation and benefits data, and coordinating with the payroll team
- Analyze trends and metrics related to compensation and benefits to develop recommendations for program improvements
- Assist in annual merit and bonus processes including managing merit recommendations in system, manager training, and communications
- Lead employee engagement initiatives related to compensation and benefits education, including workshops, webinars, and individual support
- Collaborate with the HR team on compensation and benefits strategy to align with organizational goals and budgetary constraints
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of compensation structures, salary surveys, and benefits administration.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to compensation and benefits (FLSA, ACA, etc.)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with employees and managers, a must
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP, SAP) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with all areas of the business
- Strong analytical skills to interpret HR data and provide insights for decision-making
Minimum Qualifications – (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure):
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in compensation, benefits, or HR administration roles
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred (or ability to obtain within a specified time frame)
