Ottobock is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our corporate finance team in Austin, Texas. This role will serve as a strategic finance partner to cross-functional leaders, supporting financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cost analysis, pricing, and financial modeling. The Senior Financial Analyst will deliver data-driven insights, support decision-making, and help drive profitable growth and operational efficiency while ensuring strong financial controls and compliance with accounting standards. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Model Ottobock’s Code of Conduct by demonstrating collaboration, accountability, integrity, and a solution-oriented mindset. 
  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to operational, commercial, and functional leaders by providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations. 
  • Drive quarterly Sales/Profit forecasts in partnership with FP&A leadership, marketing, and sales for assigned business units, including identifying risks and opportunities. 
  • Perform variance analysis for sales (including Price/Volume/Mix), gross profit/margin, labor (wages/FTE), and operating expenses; clearly explain performance drivers and trends in partnership with Sales and Marketing to identify margin improvement and growth opportunities. 
  • Analyze assigned business unit performance by collecting, interpreting, and reporting operational, financial, and statistical data. 
  • Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and sensitivity analyses to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions. 
  • Manage and analyze intercompany relationships and regional cost-sharing arrangements. 
  • Prepare, analyze, and deliver financial data and reporting to support month-end and year-end close activities, including required submissions to HQ. 
  • Provide timely variance explanations during close and support leadership with clear, actionable insights. 
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies and procedures. 
  • Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement of financial reporting and analytical processes. 
  • Improve data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness through process optimization and system enhancements.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A; healthcare, medical device, or manufacturing experience preferred. 
  • Strong FP&A experience, including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling. 
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, PowerQuery); experience with macros or VBA is a plus. 
  • PowerBI Experience preferred. 
  • ERP experience required; SAP strongly preferred. Experience with financial consolidation tools a plus. 
  • Experience improving processes, building scalable reporting, and driving automation. 
  • Strong analytical, communication, and business-partnering skills with the ability to translate data into insights. 
  • Proactive, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
