Summary Statement
The Advanced Analytics & Data Insights team within Global IT is the central Data & Analytics partner of the global Ottobock business. Duties & Responsibilities
We strongly believe in the power of data – from business intelligence to better & smarter MedTech products for our patients. For Ottobock the journey of a data driven company is one of the top strategic business goals. As data engineer and as part of this journey
- you will collaborate with business data owners, analysts and data scientists in cross-functional data product teams on the implementation of data-driven solutions
- you will contribute to the implementation of our Azure-based data infrastructure hand in hand with our data/platform architects
- you will build state-of-the-art data pipelines using typical tools like Azure Data Factory and Databricks
- you will connect new (external/internal) data sources to our Azure Data Lake
- you will monitor data pipelines and improve their performance
- you will bring in your own ideas and connect confidently into a dynamic team
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or in a related quantitative field
- Relevant work experience (at least 5 years) with the Azure data engineering tech stack or the analogous stack with AWS or GCP
- Experience in Python and data science/machine learning related packages
- Working experience with Databricks is preferred
- Strong general software engineering skills including DevOps and Git workflows
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with SAP BW is a plus
- Fluent in written and spoken English. German is a plus
- The ability to work in a self-organizing environment and the eagerness to continuously learn round out your profile
