Summary Statement
The Advanced Analytics & Data Insights team within Global IT is the central data and analytics partner for Ottobock's global business. Duties & Responsibilities
We firmly believe in the power of data – from business intelligence to better and smarter medtech products for our patients. For Ottobock, developing into a data-driven company is one of the most important strategic corporate goals. As a data engineer and part of this journey:
- you will work closely with business data owners, analysts, and data scientists in cross-functional data product teams to implement data-driven solutions
- you will support the implementation of our Azure-based data infrastructure in close collaboration with our data/platform architects.
- develop modern data pipelines using common tools such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks
- connect new (internal and external) data sources to our Azure Data Lake
- monitor existing data pipelines and optimize their performance
- contribute your own ideas and feel at home in a dynamic team Environment
Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science or a comparable quantitative field
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience with the Azure Data Engineering Tech Stack or comparable technologies in AWS or GCP
- Experience with Python and data science/machine learning-related libraries
- Practical experience with Databricks is an advantage
- In-depth knowledge of general software development, including DevOps and Git workflows
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with SAP BW is a plus
- Very good written and spoken English skills; German skills are an advantage
- A self-organized approach to work and a willingness to continuously develop yourself round off your profile
