Summary Statement


As an IFRS Expert specialising in Transaction Accounting (d/f/m) you will play an important role in Ottobock's growth strategy through acquisitions. You will advise our colleagues in the M&A department on all matters relating to the transaction accounting process and provide support from an in-depth IFRS perspective. Your expertise will help to optimise accounting policies and make the integration of new companies seamless.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Participation in accounting-related projects (transaction accounting) with M&A reference in accordance with IFRS 3 and preparation of pro forma financial information
  • Participation in accounting due diligences to identify acquisition effects on accounting
  • Support with IFRS conversions in the context of corporate transactions
  • Contribution to the preparation of IFRS consolidated financial statements following the completion of transactions
  • Implementation of purchase price allocation (PPA) or coordination with external appraisers
  • Group-wide goodwill impairment analyses and support in communication with auditors

Qualifications

 

  • Completed studies specialising in accounting and IFRS as well as good knowledge of international accounting 
  • Relevant professional experience (at least 3-5 years) in the field of transaction consulting, audit-related consulting or auditing 
  • Experience in transaction accounting and in connection with M&A 
  • Conceptual and analytical thinking as well as quick comprehension skills 
  • Fluency in German and English 
  • Strong communication skills, willingness to learn and ability to work in a team
