Summary Statement

 

As an IT Project Management Officer (PMO), you support the successful execution of the Ottobock IT strategy by coordinating and governing the IT project portfolio as well as strategic programs and projects. In this role, you provide transparency, structure, and oversight across project activities, enabling project managers and stakeholders to achieve their objectives effectively.

 


Please note: This position is offered as a parental leave cover and is limited to the period from December 1, 2026, to November 30, 2028.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Support IT leadership and IT project managers in the coordination, monitoring, and governance of IT projects, including project controlling activities
  • Monitor project progress with regard to budget, quality, and timelines
  • Manage and oversee the overall project portfolio and support project budget planning and forecasting processes
  • Drive the continuous improvement and implementation of standardized project management methodologies and processes, ensuring their consistent adoption
  • Create, maintain, and enhance project management guidelines, standards, and templates
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project management-related topics and provide advisory support in resolving issues within projects and programs
  • Administer, maintain, and further develop the ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) module

Qualifications

 

  • Successfully completed a degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, or completed a commercial/vocational qualification
  • Proven experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) environment and project management, including the use of project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar
  • Experience in controlling and knowledge of project management standards and quality assurance practices are an advantage
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, combined with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
  • Excellent communication and change management skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications
  • Very good written and spoken German and English language skills
