Duties & Responsibilities

Drive the day-to-day operations of the Global Privacy Topics within the CISO Office, ensure individuals’ and regulators’ privacy expectations are met and Ottobock policies and standards are complied with
Support the tasks of the CISO including in respect of cloud software, technical and organisational measures (TOMs) and data protection impact assessment / data transfer impact assessment
Analyse complex setups of processing of personal data (e.g., via Software as a Service)
Advise on legal, business and technical infrastructure requirements and controls to enable privacy compliance; work with legal, business, technical teams as well as coordinate with external counsel to ensure implementation, timely compliance and usability.
Assist with maintenance and oversight of privacy and data protection policies, procedures, standards and notices in accordance with legal, compliance and regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance and thought leadership, for example, on the use of emerging technologies in a privacy-compliant manner including the use of privacy tools and automation.
Working on cross-team projects

Profile

Law degree
3-5 year experience in EU’s data protection laws (GDPR) and its implementation in corporates
Additional qualifications e.g. Master of Laws degree, DPO and/or IT certifications, CIPM, CIPP/E, CIPP/US considered as an asset
You understand both privacy law and the technical background and can explain it to stakeholders and other audiences
Very good knowledge of German and English in Word and writing
