Summary Statement
We’re seeking a working student to support our Translation Management Team. This role is ideal for a student currently pursuing a degree in Translation Studies or a related field, with a keen interest in AI and its transformative role in the world of translation.
As a Translation Management Intern, you will work closely with a team of experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in managing translation workflows, fostering corporate terminology and ensuring the quality of our multilingual content.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Processing translation orders: Creating translation projects in our CAT tool “Across” and assigning them to our Language Service Provider
- Query management: Interacting with internal clients and external service providers
- Supporting the terminologist in defining corporate terminology for all translated languages (we currently translate 33 languages)
- Strong interest in machine translation & post-editing (MTPE) with eagerness to delve into this topic
- Supporting the team in establishing corporate interface architecture between different systems such as Schema ST4 or Pimcore to Across etc.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Translation Studies, Linguistics, or a related field, and you are available for at least three months
- Initial experience in the field, e.g. through internships, is desirable - but not a prerequisite
- You are happy to network in a team as well as perform your tasks independently
- You are proficient in MS Office and experienced in CAT tools, e.g. Across
- Working in an international environment has always been your dream, so you are fluent in written and spoken German and English
