We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Head of SAP BW/BI Centre as team lead within the Data Insights & Advanced Analytics department. This role will be pivotal in strategically advancing our unified data platform, which leverages both SAP and Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP Business Warehouse 4 HANA. SAP Datasphere, MS Azure, Databricks and PowerBI experience is not a must, but a plus. You and your team will be responsible for maintaining our existing reporting portfolio, developing new data products, and advancing both your team's capabilities and our company-wide data platform.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the SAP BW/BI Centre team within the Data & Advanced Analytics department.
- Driving business value by building up strong relationships with our internal business partners as well as external technology partners
- Drive the strategic development of our Company Data & Analytics platform, integrating SAP and Microsoft technologies.
- Oversee the operation and enhancement of the SAP Business Warehouse 4 HANA.
- Maintain and improve the existing reporting portfolio as well as developing new and innovative data products.
- Facilitate seamless integration of SAP BW with other data platforms and tools, including Databricks, Power BI, and other data ecosystems.
- Design and manage ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow between systems, enabling accurate and timely analytics and reporting.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, documentation and performance.
- Implement and promote agile project management methodologies within the team.
Qualifications
- Successfully completed a degree in business informatics, computer science or a proven track record in the field.
- Belief in the power of teamwork to achieve great things
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with SAP BW, experience in a leadership or team lead role is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully managing SAP BW projects and leading technical teams.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with internal and external partners
- Deep knowledge of SAP BW architecture, data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting tools.Many years of experience in SAP ECC, SAP S/4
- Proficiency in designing data models that integrate effectively with other data systems and platforms.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data integration, and business intelligence tools.Experience around authorizations and roles for SAP BW environment (Identity & Access Management MS Azure/PBI and SAP Analytics Claude is a big plus)
- Experience in SAP Datasphere, MS SQL, MS Azure Analytics Solutions, Analysis for Office, DataBricks, SAP SAC or MS Power BI is an advantage
- Experience in agile project management (Kanban/Scrum), concept development & customer-oriented thinking
- Experience in translating business processes into technical requirements
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
