Summary Statement

To expand the Group Accounting Team for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to IFRS and HGB, process optimization (including fast close) and strengthening continuity, we are looking for a Manager Group Accounting (d/f/m) in Berlin, Duderstadt or Remote.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • You will skillfully support the timely and proper preparation of the consolidated financial statements according to IFRS as well as HGB
  • You will prepare the complete disclosure notes for the financial statements according to IFRS as well as HGB
  • You will be engaged to implement a disclosure management tool for improving the automation for the preparation of the financial statements
  • You will be responsible for the monthly IFRS reporting, including analysis and commentary of the financials
  • You will be responsible for preparation and execution of investment changes, i.e. dividends, cooperation in company acquisitions, mergers, liquidations, sale of enterprises
  • You will active participate in the development and optimization of processes in the area of group consolidation and reporting 
  • You will be involved in the implementation of IT projects within Group Accounting, in particular in the support and further development of a new consolidation system 
  • You will be the contact person for all accounting and valuation issues for auditors for consolidation activities

Profile

  • Degree in business administration or economics with a focus on accounting/according to HGB and IFRS
  • Some years of professional experience with a well-known auditing company or in the finance department of an internationally active - ideally manufacturing - company
  • Very good analytical thinking and numerical skills
  • Communication skills as well as presentation skills and persuasiveness
  • Ability to work independently and on your own responsibility
  • Success-oriented action
  • Experience with SAP SEM - BCS, Smart Notes, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken (German language skills are an advantage)
