Purpose of Job

Innovative testing methods and testing machines for prostheses, orthoses and exoskeletons are developed in the field of verification as part of various projects. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you lay the foundations for realistic and meaningful testing of our products. You support us in the development and programming of a gait robot that is used to study the functional properties of foot prostheses.



  • Programming of stand-alone MATLAB applications for the evaluation of measurement data
  • Support for patient measurements in the gait laboratory
  • Processing of gait laboratory data for path planning and simulation
  • Development of software to control the gait robot using MATLAB/ Simulink
  • Development of test procedures in the field of prosthetics



  • Students (d/f/m) of an engineering degree course in medical technology / mechanical engineering / mechatronics / robotics or comparable
  • Advanced knowledge of MATLAB
  • Knowledge of the biomechanics of the human gait is desirable
  • Fun designing technical solutions in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Creative thinking, proactive and structured way of working
  • Excellent communication skills in German or English



  • Compulsory internship or final theses with good professional supervision
  • A wide variety of tasks in various fields of application in prosthetics/orthotics/exoskeleton
