Summary Statement

 

For our company site in Duderstadt near Göttingen, we are looking for a Head of Patient Care Operations (d/f/m). In this role you will define and implement the central manufacturing strategy. You will establish a global manufacturing presence, use the production resources in the patient care network efficiently and effectively and ensure the leadership role of ottobock.care in manufacturing technology.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • You will capture the status quo of global patient care production (available production resources, tools, processes, etc.)
  • You will identify, among other things, best-in-class processes, tools and cost advantages per manufacturing step/product type
  • You will distinguish processes, products and solutions to be moved to a centralized manufacturing facility
  • You will develop a centralized manufacturing strategy or footprint (short/medium/long term)
  • You will build and extend an integrated production and process chain - including the required systems/tools such as ordering and communication platform
  • You will transfer the local and heterogeneous manufacturing processes into an integrated central manufacturing process chain
  • You will have the technical leadership of the local units in all topics related to production processes and tools (harmonization/standardization of the remaining local processes and tools to a global standard according to the cfab strategy)
  • You will work with international development project teams to ensure a seamless production launch of new products

Qualifications

 

  • You have completed your specialist studies with a Master's degree
  • You have at least 8 years of experience in managing a medical device manufacturing facility
  • You have already gained extensive experience in setting up and operating a centralized production structure
  • You have in-depth knowledge of production processes and tools for batch size 1 products
  • Your mindset is strategic and far-sighted and you have persuasive and assertive skills
  • You are numerate and have an affinity for key figures
  • Your German and English skills are excellent
