Summary Statement

 

The Materials Engineering & Simulation department aims to optimize our Ottobock products in terms of durability and functionality with the help of simulations. This optimization takes place early on during conception and then in all subsequent phases of product development and the subsequent product life cycle. As part of an internship or thesis at our location in Duderstadt, you will evaluate the simulation options, establish the application and thus create an important basis for our product quality.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Simulation of our products in prosthetics and orthotics for structural and functional optimization - e.g. FEM, CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) or system simulation
  • Evaluation of the possibilities of simulation to ensure success in development projects and to increase product quality
  • Extension of simulation capabilities - e.g. with regard to fatigue strength evaluations, non-linear simulations and functional and system simulation in ANSYS Workbench

Profile

 

  • You are studying mechanical engineering, medical engineering or a comparable course of study with a focus on computer-aided design and calculation
  • You have experience in using a CAE tool, ideally ANSYS
  • You feel comfortable working in German and English and are able to use both languages well
  • You work independently
