Summary Statement
In this position you are entering new territory - in this context you will work as a part of an international team, cooperate with experienced development engineers from a variety of disciplines (mechatronics, mechanics, biomechanics, orthopedic technologies) in order to substantially improve the quality of life of impaired people.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Your task will be to research and develop a new generation of assistive technologies to support activities of daily living
- Conceptual design of mechanisms for prostheses and orthoses
- Elaboration of subsystems and integration into the overall system
- Design and implementation of components using 3D CAD software (PTC Creo)
- Considerations and calculations for structural strength
- Creation of functional samples in cooperation with the internal manufacturing department
- Verification of the functionality of the subsystems and the overall concept
Profile
- Graduate of Mechanical engineering or equivalent
- At least 2 years of practical experience in the development of mechanical products/components
- Experience in working with electro-mechanical components
- Experience in biomechanics and simulation software is advantageous
- Experience in using CAD-systems, preferable CREO and FEM tools
- Capability of independent work
- Creative and motivated
- Excellent written and speaking skills in English
