Summary Statement

 

In this position within the Global Research department you will help shape the future of technical orthopedics. You will work with an international team of experienced development engineers from various disciplines (mechatronics, (bio-)mechanics, orthopedic technology) to significantly improve the quality of life of impaired people.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Your task is to develop concepts and innovative solutions with the team - in addition, you evaluate prototypes in the context of patient testings
  • You will develop new ideas and solutions for the problems of our customers and patients, both independently and as part of a team
  • You observe a selected technology field, evaluate technologies and generate new opportunities for the company from this
  • You do the conceptual design of mechanisms for prostheses and orthoses
  • You design and implement components using 3D CAD software (PTC Creo)
  • You considerate and calculate for structural strength
  • You create functional samples in cooperation with the internal manufacturing department 
  • You are in charge of the verification of the functionality of the subsystems and the overall concept

Profile

.

  • You have completed your studies in the field of mechanical, mechatronic or biomedical engineering with an orthopedic technology background
  • You have at least 3 years of professional experience in the care and rehabilitation of neurological patients, ideally in combination with orthotics
  • You have experience in working with electro-mechanical components - your experience in biomechanics and with simulation software is advantageous
  • You are familiar with using CAD-systems, preferable CREO and FEM tools
  • You work independently, analytically, solution- and goal-oriented
  • Your English is very good and you are interested in international and intercultural cooperation
  • You are willing to learn and enjoy interdisciplinary and creative work in agile project teams
