Are you interested in a school internship as an orthopedic technician (d/f/m)? If you want to improve people's quality of life, work in a technical capacity and have direct contact with patients - then apply for an internship in this field. You will get a small insight into the world of prosthetics and orthotics. You will look over the technicians' shoulders and learn how to manufacture individual orthopedic devices for people.

What to expect during your internship:

  • Prepare and modify plaster or silicone casts of the upper extremity
  • Get to know the basics in plastics processing 
  • Orthotic splint preperation
  • Patient contact on occasion

What you should bring with you:

  • Communication skills and empathy
  • Manual dexterity
  • Interest in anatomy, mechanics and different materials
  • Motivation and interest in the profession
  • Fluent German language skills are required (C1)
