We are looking for a National Payor Relations Representative to join our team in Phoenix, AZ (onsite, M-F, 7:00AM-3:30PM)
This position is assigned to the National Payer Relations & Contracts Department (NPRC). NPRC ensures that required notifications, documents, and forms are communicated to payers promptly and by all requested due dates. This position will also ensure adherence to Otto Bock’s accreditation requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
Successful applicants must be able to perform the following essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Provide support for business unit staff by resolving escalated inquiries
• Submit network participation requests to insurance payors
• Set up and maintain insurance portal access for business unit staff
• Complete, submit, and track credentialing and recredentialing applications for business units including securing all required and supplemental documentation
• Maintain up‑to‑date demographic information for business units and submit required change notifications to contracted insurance payors
• Request insurance payor fee schedules
• Complete Payor Performance Checklists, distribute them to business units, and monitor progress
• Update ContractWorks, Payor Portfolios, and other internal systems
• Always deliver exceptional customer service
• Participate in ongoing training programs to support continuous learning and professional development
• Meet or exceed all department productivity and quality standards
• Communicate issues, questions, and concerns to management promptly
• Provide updates on current tasks and projects during biweekly management meetings
• Adhere to all HIPAA and PHI regulations
• Ensure all assigned workload is completed accurately and on time daily, weekly, and monthly
• Identify and communicate opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
• Maintain a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code and appropriate use of company property
• Perform other duties, special projects, and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry, preferably in Payor Relations, Credentialing, or Medical Billing in orthopedics, prosthetics, and durable medical equipment
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to completion
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
• Professional and positive telephone manners
• Excellent PC skills; typing of 45 wpm, excellent ten-key skills
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Software
• Must work onsite in Phoenix, AZ office
