We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Director to lead commercial growth across the Central U.S. region (TX or IL preferred location). 

The Regional Director of Sales is responsible for leading all commercial activities within an assigned region, driving sustainable revenue growth, profitability, market share expansion, and team performance. This role provides end-to-end business leadership, overseeing sales strategy, forecasting, financial performance, customer relationships, talent development, and execution of company sales initiatives through field sales representatives’ performance activity. The successful candidate will foster a high-performance culture, champion accountability, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve organizational objectives while representing the voice of the customer and patient. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Business Performance

Own regional performance, including revenue, margin, expenses, market share, product performance, customer segmentation, and sales metrics
Develop and execute plans to achieve sales, revenue, profitability, and growth objectives
Monitor sales activity, pipeline, forecasts, performance trends, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions
Analyze market and customer trends, address performance gaps, and oversee major accounts, RFPs, and contract negotiations
Maintain proactive communication regarding business results and priorities

Strategic Planning & Operational Excellence

Participate in annual sales planning and execution of regional objectives
Identify growth opportunities and implement regional strategies
Leverage Salesforce and reporting tools to support data integrity, forecasting, and business management
Improve sales processes, operational efficiency, resource utilization, and territory management
Maintain knowledge of pricing, systems, customer operations, and business processes

Financial Management & Accountability

Analyze sales and operating reports, manage budgets and expenses, and implement corrective actions
Prioritize high-value opportunities, support cash collection efforts, and track key financial metrics

Leadership, Talent Development & Culture

Lead, coach, develop, recruit, onboard, evaluate, and manage a high-performing sales team
Conduct field coaching, establish performance expectations, and support employee development
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement, professionalism, and customer focus

Cross-Functional Partnership & Corporate Leadership

Partner with internal teams to drive growth, improve customer outcomes, and support business objectives
Lead company initiatives, advocate for resources, and align regional execution with company strategy
Represent customer and patient needs in business decisions

Customer Engagement & Travel

Maintain regular customer and field engagement throughout the region
Travel to support sales execution, coaching, customer relationships, and business meetings
Lead regional and annual sales meetings, including planning, execution, and follow-up

Qualifications

  • BA Degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in Health Science or Business Management.
  • Minimum 5+ years commission-based sales experience and 2+ years leading a commission-based sales team.  
  • Proven success leading multi-territory sales teams and achieving revenue growth targets.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing P&L performance, forecasting, budgeting, and sales analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop high-performing teams through coaching, accountability, and talent development.
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence outcomes in a matrix environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the region and attend quarterly corporate meetings.
