Duties & Responsibilities

The Education Team at Ottobock Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Education Specialist (Physical Therapist) to provide an impact in the realm of continuing education and professional development. 
This position requires physical therapy clinical experience in the area of prosthetics and amputation care, as well as a foundation in education. Ottobock Healthcare aims to provide a positive working environment that emphasizes work/life balance.

This full-time position offers the ability to work from home remotely (or a hybrid working environment for candidates in Austin, TX)  

Duties & Responsibilities
•    Develops and designs synchronous and asynchronous courses/curriculum 
•    Edits, updates, and refines online course content and ancillary course materials 
•    Designs learning activities, assignments, and post-course assessments 
•    Collaborates with subject matter experts to develop course content 
•    Keeps current with best practices in instructional design and education development 
•    Teaches physical therapy content to internal and external customers 
•    Interacts with internal and external customers to provide superior service, product support, and education 
•    Writes scripts for video and audio content 
•    Works closely with other departments, including customer service, marketing communications, sales, and product management 
•    Plans and participates in local and regional industry meetings and trade shows 
•    Promotes the use of Ottobock products to healthcare professionals 
•    Performs related duties as assigned 

Qualifications

•    Excellent writing skills, including advanced competence in grammar, spelling, punctuation, research, and outlining 
•    Verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey clinical and technical information to peers 
•    Excellent project management and organizational skills 
•    Experience with presentation platforms and design software 
•    Knowledge of instructional theory and design, including learning assessment 
•    Proficiency with digital platforms, authoring tools, or learning management systems 
•    Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
•    Prioritization and management of multiple simultaneous deadlines 
•    Autonomy and initiative in driving projects and completing work tasks 
•    Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills 

Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements: 
•    Master’s degree or better in physical therapy 
•    Active state license to practice physical therapy
•    Experience as a classroom instructor, trainer, or provider of continuing education 
•    Minimum 5 years of experience as a practicing physical therapist 
•    Experience working with the limb loss population
•    Ability to travel as needed (50% maximum)

Compensation Data

Salary Disclosure: $90,000-$120,000
