We are looking for a HR Generalist to join our remote West Coast Team! 

The HR Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department.  This role manages a range of HR functions including employee relations, compliance, and performance management. The HR Generalist works closely with employees and management to foster a positive work environment, ensure HR policies are followed, and support the company’s objectives. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administer HR plans and policies for employees, including developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures. 
  • Support employee relations activities, including plans of action, separations/terminations, and responding to employee questions utilizing self-service tools and vendor programs. 
  • Coach management on change management and performance management issues. 
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations through regular audits and policy enforcement. 
  • Manage HRIS system and data entry for Ottobock Patient Care, including HR reporting, tracking, and metrics. 
  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop local solutions and programs aligned with global HR standards. 
  • Assist in performance management processes by coaching managers and employees on performance issues. 
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to support employee growth and company goals. 
  • Lead employee engagement activities focused on rewards and recognition, team building, and fostering open employee feedback channels. 
  • Collaborate on HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives with the HR team. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources roles, with a focus on employee relations and HR administration. 
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations. 
  • Located on West Coast and will work PT business hours.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with employees and managers. 
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP, SAP) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret HR data and provide insights for decision-making.
