We are looking for a Product Data Specialist to join our team! Remote position (must currently be located in U.S.)

 

The Product Data Specialist is part of a Product Data Management team tasked with managing and maintaining the Product Data Catalog across all eCommerce sales channels, and in print. This position plays a key role in developing a positive rapport with our customers and working relationships with coworkers and suppliers alike.

 

This position requires good analytical process skills and a high level of accountability to ensure accuracy of data. Candidate must have good human relations skills to build positive relationships with team, other departments and outside suppliers. The ideal candidate listens attentively and responds in a sensitive and appropriate manner, treating all with respect and dignity. Requires written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate information to all levels of leadership. Must be able to work in fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Curate and manage customer-facing product information
  • Obtain product data and images from Suppliers, Catalogs, 3rd party representatives and/or internal teams, process to our required formats
  • Help the company continue to build its digital marketing profile as it embarks on an ambitious plan to substantially expand market position over the next two years
  • Complete product setup, following established guidelines, ensuring quality control of initial product information
  • Suggest enhancements to content management systems and data entry workflow
  • Take a proactive role in making better product pages, both online and in print
  • Review website after update to look for bugs and other issues
  • Make product data presentations to company stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Your work is going to be seen by every customer. You must demonstrate a great deal of personal pride in your output
  • Highly Proficient in English grammar and spelling
  • Please note- During interview process, you will be tested for proficiency in the following: Excel vLookup formula, Excel Pivot Table. Study up.
  • Conversational French would be a plus, although not required
  • Initiative to analyze, prioritize and independently drive actions to completion

Experience

  • Processing large-volume data entry
  • Enthusiasm for serving in a customer service oriented commitment
  • Creating and maintaining data records in alignment with documented templates
  • Experience with Product Information Management, Content Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, Salesforce or equivalent solutions
  • Querying and modifying data within a database (MS SQL, MySQL)
  • Experience in Visual Basic (or any scripting language), .Net, CSS Files, HTML is a plus but not required

Education and Experience

  • Requires knowledge normally obtained through Associate's degree, alongside previous work experience. Requires proficiency typically obtained with 2+ years experience in a buyer support, marketing, content management or merchandising data entry role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Information Technology or Statistics will be preferred
