We are looking for a Board Eligible or Certified Orthotist and/or Prosthetist at our Rogers, AR location. This fast-growing mid-sized southern town with a population of over 500,000 people is quickly becoming a destination city as the World headquarters of Walmart, Tyson foods, and J.B Hunt Transportation, along with VA Hospital and Mercy Health System.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver quality orthotics, prosthetics and professional services in relation to patient care.
- Assist in actual fabrication as may be needed to assure, quality, fit function, timely delivery, or responsiveness to individual patient need.
- Perform fitting, including static and dynamic alignments.
- Instruct patient in use of device.
- Post-delivery service and adjustments for assigned patients.
- Provide information to administrative staff to conduct reimbursement activities.
- Maintenance of all patient charts and records of care and service, current and complete each day.
- Achieve and maintain professional knowledge and technical skills required to perform all other primary responsibilities. This specifically includes, current "state of the art" knowledge, procedures, components, and materials including application based on diagnosis.
- Identify and create improvements to processes to promote efficiency and productivity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Effective communication skills for accurate, concise, and organized oral and written presentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively and participate with a team approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships with clinical and non-clinical personnel, patients, and caregivers.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to completion.
- Demonstrated ability to use good judgment in resolving issues.
- Proficient computer skills; Proficient in MS Office and databases.
- A valid driver’s license with no limitations operating a motor vehicle; must have a reliable vehicle.
- Master's Orthotic program completion required.
- Thorough understanding of the principles of biomechanics, pathomechanics, gait analysis, kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Knowledge of componentry and its suitability and reliability for specific uses.
- Comprehension of medical terminology.
