We have an opening for a Development Engineering position within our Research and Development team in our Salt Lake City, Utah location.  If you would like to be part of a passionate, hard-working, engineering team that develops products which make a difference in human mobility, then this is an opportunity for you.  

 

The ideal candidate for this position is a hands-on development engineer, experienced in the design of additively manufactured parts and in project coordination activities. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Play a leading role in the design, development, and refinement of medical devices utilizing additive manufacturing technology
  • Creation of product specifications (both software and device)
  • CAD design and 3D modeling
  • Planning and execution of product verification and validation
  • Documentation of product design (Design History)
  • Manage project schedules, resources, and budget as needed
  • Identify and appropriately address project/product risks
  • Coordination of project tasks
  • Regular communication of project status to key stakeholders.
  • Interface with local and international team members to ensure smooth release of products to market
  • Stay current with technical advances through education, training, and technical research
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Some international travel may be required (<10%)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering (ME, BME, MSE)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development
  • Experience with 3D printing / additive manufacturing
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills – written and verbal
  • Experienced in Product Verification and Validation.
  • Excels at both independent and collaborative work.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management experience
  • Process Validation (including production software)
  • Experience in Medical Device industry
