The R&D Engineering Intern will dive into hands-on work supporting the design and improvement of prosthetic and orthotic devices. This role offers real project experience, close collaboration with industry experts, and the opportunity to contribute to work that makes a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
The intership program runs approximately from mid-May to mid-August.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prototyping of engineering designs.
- Selection and evaluation of appropriate materials.
- Development and execution of experimental protocols and test plans.
- Documentation of designs and concepts through written and oral reporting.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure):
- Undergraduate or graduate Engineering student (ME/BME/MSE).
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and terms.
- CAD proficient.
- Coding / scripting experience a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong hands-on experience and technical expertise.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with a hands-on approach and a willingness to problem-solve collaboratively.
